How beautiful all the gardens are at present – the rain has given us a wonderful refreshing spring. The Flowering Cherry tree and Blue Pacific have not looked so good in years and the Peace rose is massed with buds.

We had our first barbeque and sat outside last night – a little chilly but we persisted.

Movies
We all went to see Summer Coda last week. Though it was a little slow in parts we did enjoy it. I love seeing real Australin bush on the big screen and references of Stephano de Perie who hopefully will be back in April next year.

Tart Baking Competition

Queanbeyan Summer Sunset Markets
Every Friday evening now from 5pm, opposite the Council Chambers on Crawford Street. This small markets had a lovely community feel last week – music, food and relaxed locals. We are launching the “Benedict Gourmet Burger’ this evening. Have made my mother’s tomato and apple sauce for the beef and the lentil bugers. Making the mayonnaise and caramelising the onions this morning.
