Flora, the female and fabric are celebrated in the current Amie Cristie Exhibition at Benedict House- keeping the Floriade and Queanbeyan in Bloom Theme
The hallways at Benedict House are afloat with the romantic, floating feminine garments designed by Aime Cristie. Better described as wearable art –intricate flowers made of mixed materials feature on every garment. It is a must see exhibition for budding designers and textile artists.
The label draws its inspiration from multiple sources – nature and the 40’s and 50’s Hollywood styles – the gowns are sensual and romantic.
The label has been recognized. It has been a finalist in Directional Evening Couture 2 years in a row in the WA Fashion Design Awards at the Perth Fashion Festival and along with Directional Lifestyle in the latter year. Aime Cristie label has sold to boutiques in Ireland and Amsterdam and was exhibited at international fashion events in Asia & Europe.
The work will be on display throughout Floriade until 15th October at Benedict House
