BENEDICT HOUSE NEWSLETTER

Morning All,

It is lovely to wake up to moisture in the air – lets hope by the time you receive this it will be rain

I get very excited when each plant shows it’s blossom – now its the rose. I simply adore the rose, even in a drought it gives one hope against hope. To paint them and do them justice poses an enormous challenge

“ When I place a flower on my night table and sketch it faithfully It seems to me that, little by little, I comprehend the secret of creation” Shiki

NEW
We have lots of new stock and the old room is fairly creaking
The absolutely newest in the market are the Japanese kimono resin beads- they are light and are great for telephone charms, charms in general and earrings.

Tip for the week
Smell some flowers

We saw “A Mighty Heart” this week – about the kidnapping of a journalist in Pakistan. It was not a great tourist advertisement for that country – a disturbing but commendable film.

I think I have been talking about a kitchen being installed for over a year now. It is almost becoming a reality- we are now getting quotes and designs. The beautiful old floorboards are a worry – we need a floor specialists – if you know of any good ones please recommend them to me

The lucky newsletter voucher for this week goes to Ilana Lowe. Must be collected from the bead shop by next Thursday 1st November 2007.

Here’s hoping for a few wet days.

Take care,
Kate
