KITCHEN AND 'THE REFECTORY'
Wed 16th July – that is the date
One thing is for sure – there will be freshly baked cup cakes - on the menu.
More details on the menu as the time approaches
We will have seating for about 25 for lunches – we will take bookings in the first week to give ourselves a steady start
I am very excited and am gathering recipes – new and old

I have made a lot of mistakes falling in love, and regretted most of them, but never the potatoes that went with them.” Nora Ephron, Heartburn

MOVIE
Well I broke with tradition this week. There was no movie that my old husband and I wanted to see at a time suitable – curiosity got the better of me – I went to see ‘Sex in the City’ with 5 friends. Well, we laughed and laughed –despite the warning from my 22 year old son that we 'would be offended’.

TIP FOR THE WEEK
The days are grey, the interest rates are high, petrol is too dear too buy, the TV is full of doom and gloom, the local bureaucrats are testing my patience – there has not been much joy. I have walked around my neighborhood (that does not cost anything and makes me feel virtuous) - I have tried a new recipe and cooked something delicious for us to eat, I have got some old beads and buttons out – ones that have been hanging around for years- and created a gift to donate (still creating in the front room) and I get up early to paint and listen to my old favourite music from the 50’s and 60’s . Greg has been helping clean out my old studio – throwing away a ute load full of junk and having a garage sale this Sat. The fog has lifted.

GARAGE SALE
Tables, fire place cedar mantle, silver clay kiln, fabrics, bric-a-brac, Berko hot water, microwave, old style TV, Victorian chairs (need upholstering) books, magazines, more.
From 8am behind Benedict House.

The lucky newsletter voucher for this week goes to Sue Orchison. Must be collected from the bead shop by next Thursday 26th June 2008.

Take Care,
Kate
