I am a very weary old girl today and the place is a mess- new beads in boxes, no place to put them, bags to be unpacked from the Sydney Bead and Gem Show and empty walls in the corridors

i'm in Mumbai (Bombay) first day of LAKME fashion week with my fellow designers and friends
Dev r Nil. otherwise known as Debargueo and Navonil.  it's very well organised here and lots of
good food and drinks to indulge in.

last night was the opening party for fashion week.  a beautiful venue.  a nightclub transformed
from a textile mill when they decentralised mills from the city as part of a clean up Mumbai pact.

just saw the first show for the day.  lots and lots of colours and textiles.  having a ball.

We did not see a movie this week as we were busy with the show. We did spend quite a few evenings in the bar at the hotel, with the other traders, solving the problems of the world.
