I am very pleased with the designer exhibition and will expand to other products other than jewellery. Some are selling well, others are slow. We welcome your feedback.
I really want to promote the work of local designers and artists and craftspeople – as well as myself of course- as I value more and more buying something that is beautifully made by one of our own community. As with ‘slow’ food we all benefit by using ‘local’.
Without being too political, I am attaching a letter and membership form from Queanbeyan
woman Toni McLelland who is trying to form a new political party. I am happy to support her because of her efforts and ‘having a go’
If you happen to like ‘Franz’ porcelain, vases are on special at La Cucina, in the City Link plaza – 40% off most
Also Barb Mickelson from BM designs has been selected in the world finals of Wearable Art in NZ She will fly there next month for the presentations. Barb is teaching things to do up hats
and accessorize for the racing season. See the class list.
My tip for the week is – make a plan for your garden and its watering needs
Proverb for the week
‘Nothing should be done in a hurry except catching fleas’ Germany
We saw ‘Snow Cake’ this week. A delightful film and an eye opener for me re autism.
I have told my husband that I think he is somewhat autistic because of the way he repeats himself about how he has put the bins out and also the cricket scores – not just Australia, but the world.
The lucky newsletter voucher for this week goes to Ann Harkness. Must be collected from the bead shop by next Thursday 23th August 2007.
