BENEDICT HOUSE NEWSLETTER

Afternoon All,

These 20 degree days and cool mornings are just heaven. It is so nice to be seeking the warmth of sunny spot in the courtyard rather than sheltering in a bit of shade to avoid heat. Daisy has her little jacket on at night now. Easter, holidays, autumn – a lovely time of year.

The café has the Autumn menu out – quince and pomegranates are bountiful.

For your information my old husband is on long service leave. You may see him loafing around in his old tracksuit – he will be doing a lot of his woodwork.

Cook
We need a lovely person to cook on Fridays and Saturdays. As well as being a great cook, the person needs to be able to get along with an eclectic group of eccentric, fun people of all ages and enjoy listening to QBN fm. Young, middle or old – we don’t care as long as they can work long hours with a sip of water for a break.

Movies
We have seen some good movies lately: Welcome, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and The Last Station. I loved them all – I am not a very good movie critic – I just love watching anything as I am sitting down, eating a chocolate or ice-cream, sipping on a glass of sparkling. I don’t really care what is happening on the screen – the old one sitting beside me often wakes me up because I am snoring – that is irritating.

New Stock
We have lots of new beads and giftware in, look at the photos below.
