We saw ‘Death at a funeral” this week. Very funny in parts but a bit too silly for me and my old husband. We must be too serious as everyone else says it is hilarious

Keep 11th November free for the fibre and fabric day. Some designers will strut around the courtyard to show of their creations at 2pm- music – opening of the new designers exhibition. Food – does anyone want to supply food for the day – all proceeds to yourself or a charity?

I am coming down this weekend for Floriade and intend to pop in to see the current exhibition. I just went to the Australian premiere tonight of VITUS. When it comes to Canberra, probably Dendy being an independent time film, YOU MUST GO. it was fabulous. don't know how they got so much comedy into a film about a child prodigy pianist. we had added bonus that Cremorne Orpheum got Simon Tedeschi to play for 15 minutes prior to the film. thanks for the great format newsletters.

Thanks for your lovely newsletter. A big hello from Oxford. Am having a ball here in the UK. Off to Belgium and Paris next week - cant wait. Lovely shot of Erin in the garden. Beautiful fashion and craft over here. Went to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to see the History of Haute Couture last weekend - was stunning!! Damp and mild here.
