Beginners Workshops  - 7 Week Night  Course    From  Thursday 6 May

            Necklace- learn the basics of finishing your first necklace

            Earrings – traditional and contemporary– Learn different techniques to design 4 different styles of earrings

            Chain and charms – master the technique of turning and wrapping

            Twisted wire Bracelet – sculpt a stunning necklace or bracelet

             Contemporary Knotting - using from a wide range of threads – learn to make the adjustable slide knot

            Learn the traditional art of Knotting pearls

             Design and Colour Theory – understand how to use a colour wheel, and use the elements of design

                                                              In Jewellery making

             Cost $140  for 7 week course  Individual workshops within the course $25   Payment in advance to secure a place

             Cost includes use of tools and some findings       Kits available or choose your own – approx $10-$15 per class

Intermediate Traditional pearl using silk thread, contemporary knotting and adjustable slide knot, wire twisted necklace

Advanced - Principals of Design and  Colour Theory  – learn the basic principals of design and the theory

of colour applied to jewellery making Morning. In the afternoon make an necklace using mixed mediums

 Cost $120  includes $20 of beads of your choice, lunch, wine, morning and afternoon tea 

Your class booking is secured with payment. We accept telephone payments over the phone using credit card

Three days notice is required for cancellation, refunds or exchanges  $300 advanced payment for all 3

We will provide experiences to develop your knowledge and passion for food using fresh produce from the region.

Book Club

A relaxed monthly get together to discuss and swap books

Includes time to chat and have afternoon tea, formal discussion as well as book swapping

Each member takes a turn selecting books for reading and moderating the discussions

Beading Club

A morning for active beaders to meet each month.  Bring your own projects and supplies and share ideas and techniques.

An opportunity to share the camaraderie of beading in a group where one can learn from other members and Benedict House staff.

Music Club      

Soloists or small groups of musicians  and storytellers – established or young  - will gather in ‘The Refectory’ 3-5pm.
