Benedict House has become a popular venue for Christmas lunches and small functions. Many Canberra and Queanbeyan groups have claimed their date to lunch with work colleagues, social groups or family and friends. The atmosphere is charming and the seasonal food served as fresh as possible. A private room, the ‘Red Room’ seats up to 14 people whilst larger groups are catered for in ‘The Refrectory”. The set menu is negotiable and this year includes glazed hams. Local berries will be a feature on the summer pavlovas. There will be a Christmas High Tea in December and many Christmas treats to be bought – puddings, cakes, shortbreads and tarts.
